National Trust
The National Trust has some fabulous properties and gardens in North Wales. How about a 'Neo Norman Mock Gothic Fantasy castle'? To give Penrhyn Castle near Bangor its correct title! Or the beautiful gardens at Bodnant - Daily Telegraph readers voted it their ‘Favourite Garden in the Country’.

Walled Towns
It’s all going on in our Walled Towns: a 700-year-old honey fair in Conwy. A cheese rolling contest in Chester. Stripy castle walls in Caernarfon. The pub where Oliver Cromwell stayed in Beaumaris. The old English border in Denbigh.
Our Welsh walled towns were built in the thirteenth century by Edward I, but Chester had city walls when the Romans were here. These ancient walls are big. Huge. And they’re still standing strong today. Once upon a time they kept invaders out, but these days visitors are more than welcome in our towns. And the walls? - a very handy way of getting your bearings, should you need a little help to track down your favourite bar, bistro, or boutique. Visit www.walledtowns.co.uk to find out more.
